Movin' right along.

The chevron scarf is coming along nicely.

In other exciting news, I finally got my Hourglass back on the needles! Woooooo!

All aboard.

I really wasn't trying to jump on the Chevron Scarf bandwagon. I added it on my to-knit list back in the fall when I first found LMKG at the library. I kept putting off starting it because, well, sometimes I try not to be a total knitting whore.

So let's take a quick account of said whorishness... I am currently working* on the follwing:

* Chevron Scarf - I really couldn't resist... One of the colorways has all three colors from this month's Project Spectrum!

* Hourglass Sweater - Still in a basket by my window. I could have it back on the needles and working again in about an hour, but I just keep putting it off. No idea why. I really want to knit it!

* Grey 11:11 Scarf - This could be finished in about an hour or two... but no, it's just curled up in a bag looking lonely.

* Ballband Hand Towel #2 - I actually have been working on this. I got about five repeats done last night while watching Battlestar Galactica.

* Red Side-To-Side Throw - This is one of those things I pick up when I need some mindless knitting. I worked on it a bit last week. I really don't have any sort of timeline with this baby. It's already been on the needles for a year.

* Log Cabin Throw - Um... Whoops... I don't think I've knit a stitch on this since January. I should probably work on it instead of the red one since this is a gift.

* Zombie Doll - Zombie Fred is half done. He's a torso and will remain so until I figure out how to do his lower half.

* All the hats - I tried last night! I really did! I cast on for the grey one and knit a few rounds, but I messed up and my ribbing got all wonky.

I think that's everything. Who knows... I'm sure there are a few projects stuck in a box, bag or basket. There always are...

*I use the word "working" in the loosest way here. Some of these things could be finished in a manner of hours, but instead I like to leave them in various baskets and bags throughout my apartment.

I'm dumm

I can't read apparently. I messed up my Hourglass royally.

oops

I did 8 decrease rounds in a row. Yeah. I should read a little more closely. I'm in the process of tinking back. I just can't bear to rip it out and start over from scratch.

Hourglass KAL

I've gotten comments from several people who are knitting the Hourglass. I know the old Hourglass KAL has shut down, so I'm opening a new one. It should be up and running within an hour.

Be careful not to twist stitches.

Google that phrase. I'll wait...

Okay. How many results to you get?

347,000.

So why on earth did I just knit 6 rounds of my Hourglass sweater after twisting my stitches. I even double-triple-quadruple checked... and I still twisted the damned things! Ugh.

To the pond it goes.

Think pink!

The leg warmers are done and adorable. I ended up running out of yarn around 13" into the second one... so that meant ripping back the cast off edge of the first and just knitting until they were even. They are about 18 1/2" long. That's quite a difference from the 26" noted in the book. Not sure what happened there, but it worked out and I like them a lot. Of course, now that I've completed them, it's 70 degrees outside... although during March in Ohio anything is possible, so it might be -14 tomorrow.

I also got the yarn from Knit Picks today for my Hourglass sweater. It got here so quickly!!! I'm really pleased. The color is gorgeous!

It's Wool of the Andes in blueberry. The price can't be beat and it's very nice. I also got a ball each of forest heather and lake ice heather. I'm going to make a Hogwarts Slytherin scarf from them.

One!!

One leg warmer done. Mwuwahaha!

I stopped at 23 inches. The fear of running out of Cascade just took over and after trying it on, it really seemed long enough.

I'm too out of it to take pictures so you'll just have to wait.

Warm my legs!

I'm trying to knit my Super Easy Leg Warmers from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts as quickly as possible. I am almost constantly cold and I thought these would help quite a bit. They do not, however, knit up as fast as quoted in the book. I spent a good 6-7 hours on them yesterday and am still less than halfway through one. Aargh.

Fortunately, I love the yarn and am enjoying knitting them. I have a feeling that they would move along a little more quickly on circular needles.
