Newbies

I've been commissioned by a friend to knit a hat for both he and his girlfriend. He took me to the yarn store on Saturday and we frolicked in the skeins of glory for a long time.

This is what we left with:


A hank of Cascade 220 in a gorgeous dark charcoal grey for his.


A skein of delicious pink and purple Noro Silk garden for her hat.


And some Plymouth Encore Chunky in this nice deep brown with blue flecks for me. (My treat for knitting him things.)
