I have some Cascade and Noro left over from Ryan's Noro Stripe Scarf, so I thought I'd whip up a hat for myself. I got a really lovely camel-colored coat from Target for $10 yesterday. (They are having an amazing sale! I got another coat, a black one with loads of buttons, for $8.)
I'm sort of obsessed with slipped stitch patterns right now, so I'm going to slippy stripes and see how it goes. Wish me luck!

Gather around.
I took some photos yesterday. Woo.

The Dolores Park Cowl #2. It's not lopsided. I just didn't straighten it out completely before I took the photos.

The progress so far on the Peony Buttony. It's coming along... I was hoping to have it done before now, but whatever... I did find some gorgeous buttons yesterday at Shuttles for when it is done.

And finally, Meret (aka the Mystery Beret). I'm making it sort of extra slouchy because as it is now, it's baby sized. I'm going to do 2 extra pattern repeats. I'm still on my first ball of Silk Garden.

Speaking of Noro... my friend Ryan asked me for a scarf for his birthday, so I succumbed to the lure of the Noro Silk Garden striped scarf. I got some natural heathered Cascade 220 for the contrasting color. I'm using colorway 47 of the Silk Garden.

Roundup - Part 1
I took photos of a lot of things yesterday. A LOT. I've only managed to upload a fraction of them though. I'm re-configuring* my own computer(s) so I've been using Vince's. I have this nifty little Flickr uploading tool on mine that makes uploading photos take about .5 seconds. Doing it manually with the amount of photos I have takes more patience than I currently possess.
(These are not listed in the order they were completed. They're just listed.)

Calorimetry - I loved knitting this. It was fun, fast and the Noro was a perfect yarn for this.

In fact, I liked it so much, I made another one! I had a nice chunk of yarn left from the first one and I hate leaving little orphan balls in my stash. This one is smaller, but it's perfect for spring days in Boulder. It keeps my ears warm without making me super hot.
Oops. Okay, turns out I had only uploaded those 2 sets of photos. I'll try to get some more uploaded today or tomorrow.
*I own two computers. One has been in storage forever and one has been my personal slave that I beat to death with thousands of songs, photos and whatever else I can throw at it. The hard drive in that machine is almost full, so I thought I'd Frankencomputer them together to get a faster, bigger machine. I might stab myself with a tiny screwdriver before I get it all finished though. Thank goodness for friends who are computer geniuses.

Hey. What's up?
I am posting from the library. My internet at home is a bit wonky right now. I did manage to get a few photos uploaded of the freshly completed items.
The Silk Garden hat v 2.0:
1 skein Noro Silk Garden Color 205
US Size 6 DPNs
Basic hat recipe

And a cute little felted box:
Partial skeins of Yarns Brunswick Brunsana (Persian Yarn) in black and pale pink
US Size 11
8 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 3"
Based on the pattern in Mason-Dixon Knitting

The box has shrunk down a little more since drying totally. I might give it another round of felting. I forgot how fun these are to knit. I made a very small square on for Mom for Christmas and really liked it. This one felted a little better. I went up a few needle sizes. I think I got it prefect this time.
A HUGE GIANT FANTASTICALLY ENORMOUS Thanks to Lauren for my Lurve Package! I love, love, love the yarn. It's mouthwatering. The Swiffers wil help keep my hardwood floors looking lovely for photoshoots.
And thanks to Cynthia for making me the most lovely stitch markers! I love the colors. They match my Hourglass perfectly!
Thanks so much you guys! I was having a really crappy day and that really brightened things up!
ETA: Photos! I got them uploaded! Woo!

Siiiiilky.
I finished my Noro Silk Garden Hat this afternoon after restarting it for about the 543rd time.
It's pretty. It's so very pretty. I was mesmerized watching the stripes appear as I knit it. The color changes, oh the changes(!!!) so very pretty.
I changed the pattern slightly. I added an extra half inch of ribbing at the bottom and a few extra repeats during the decreases.
I'll add photos and all that crap later. I'm tired.
The color is 217. I wish tha they had real names... I think I'd call this one Autumn Evening or something... It makes me think of fall.
ETA: PHOTOS!!
