Something...

I'm finally making some progress on clapotis after many struggles. I went on the knitty.com message boards last night and found an area all about clapotis!! Thank god. I was about to throw the needles down and shove the pattern into the back of Vogue Knitting again. Apparently, I was doing my yarn overs all wrong and adding extra stitches. I've found a few minor flubs in it so far, but I'm going to keep going at it. I finished the first section of 12 repeats tonight after a few choice words. (I blame that totally on the fact that I was watching Scarface. How can one not curse their brains out whilst watching that film?!) I should be able to make quite a bit of progress tomorrow. I have an exciting day planned of watching Lost and Veronica Mars. I'm looking forward to it after this past week.

By the way -- do you like my stitch markers? Safety pins. I have a tiny box of stitch markers somewhere but they're M.I.A. right now. Oh well. The safety pins make it seem sort of punk rock.

I have a cold. It started last night around 3am. I woke up with a really dry, raw throat and it's just gotten worse since then. I have been coughing in random spurts and it's not fun. I hate coughing. I can't really remember if coughing hurt this bad before I had asthma, but it's really painful now. Even if I just swallow something wrong and have to cough it kills me. Ugh. Stupid lungs. Who needs 'em?!

I'm going to go down some medicine and climb into bed. I get to sleep in tomorrow for the first time in over a week. I'm so excited!

From a fellow knitting asthma sufferer: here's total empathetic comforting thoughts heading your way. I'd bottle them if I could.
On a book-related note, have you read Rose Tremain's historical novels? I've jotted down the names of the two you're reading to add to my list.

No, I haven't read her books. I'll have to get those from the library after I finish the massive pile next to my bed.
