Sock it to me.

I want to knit a sock monkey this weekend. I have a ton of fiber fill and about 1,000 balls of random yarn in the closet. I am thinking of making one in Duke colors for Doug. But it would have to be very small so he can take it with him to the desert. (BTW, still not sure if he's going or when he's going... Very annoying.)

I got a big pile of books from the library today. Anti-fun books, I got those yesterday. Today was educational books day. Business, money, planning, math, economics and so on. I sat down and read for a little over and hour, then hunger and coldness took over. I ran away from the kitchen and have been sitting in front of my computer ever since.

I applied at UNCW online. I'm going to try to get in there on Monday to meet with an advisor to figure out where I stand and how to make the most out of my time and money. I have learned a lot about myself in the past few years - I now realise that I fought too much with school. Not to achieve. To try to prove somehow that I knew everything and that I could do it all myself. I don't know everything, not even close, no one does. So I'm going to go in there and get as many people as I can to help me. Not to do it for me, but to help me.

I also got some movies from the library. One of the best parts of having it so nearby! Free movies!! I have the house to myself this weekend. Doug is staying on base because he got some weird shot this week and can't be around me because of my asthma. Wendy is going home to help a friend plan her wedding. (The friend's, not Wendy's.) So I am going to totally geek out this weekend and it's going to be wonderful. I should be able to finish Lauren's scarf - the ball is getting very small now!!

I'm hoping I can get Jaime, Dawn and Sonia to come over sometime this weekend for a mini SNB. We need one.
